Who are the Jehovah’s Witnesses? Thank you for visiting my web site. You could be here for several different reasons as I have put several different key words to attract surfers to my site. My primary goal is to inform as many as possible of the dangers of religious groups such as Jehovah Witnesses. I was associated with this particular group for almost a decade. From the off I want to make it clear that I don't harbour a grudge against any particular Witness. Almost all are good clean leaving people, however as an organization I believe they have a lot accounting to do. As an organization they have made many spurious claims over the years, even incorrectly predicting the end of the world on several occasions. So as far as Jehovah Witnesses are concerned I want to use this site to inform and hopefully debate the teachings of this group which claims six million members world wide.
Also I am an amateur photographer with a liking for sunsets and landscapes of the Irish country side. I am not a technical photographer, I will always do my best to apply the rule of thirds and so on however I think the expression "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" was invented for photography and not men and women. Some individuals may look at my pictures and think they are crap however another individual may look at the same photographs and think that they are superb, it's all in the eye and not necessarily the trained eye.So please enjoy my site, where I am wrong please correct me, especially when it comes to the teachings of Jehovah Witnesses. Please bear with me regarding the construction of my site, report any bad links or other navigational issues. If you like what you see, tell
others.
My Mission-Jehovah WitnessesIt is my mission or goal to educate people about the dangers of certain religious organizations. Regardless what the critics and be moaners say I believe that religion still pays a huge part in the day to day life people both hear in Europe and indeed through the world. It is easy to be cynical I would suggest that one is expected to by cynical when it comes to religion. I believe that people still believe in God however I believe the vast majority of God fearing people have lost faith in the churches of the world. When one looks at the actions of some of the major churches it is easy not to trust these churches, it is very easy to be cynical. This goes for Catholics, Protestants, Mormons, Born Again Christians, Jehovah Witnesses and even Muslims. Since 9/11 and the Middle Eastern wars we have witnesses huge gaps in the teachings of the Muslim religions. It is obvious to the observer that the Muslim faith is as fragmented and as misunderstood as the Catholic church was during the inquisitions. At this juncture it is worth asking, do we all worship the same god? I don't think anyone can answer that question without causing some kink of controversy. Jehovah Witnesses will have you believe that they are the only one true religion, the organization that God himself uses to speak to the world through their version of the bible and through their many publications. They would have you believe that the world is going to end soon, can we trust their version of events? I honestly don't know, however in order to better understand these and many more unanswered questions it is my mission to get these questions out there and to try and stimulate debate. If one has a better understanding of the teachings of any organization it is always going to help them make a sound judgement.
My Photography As the old song goes "a picture paints a thousand words"...When I left the organization of Jehovah Witnesses I found myself looking for things to do. As a JW you tend to have every minute of every day accounted for. Now I had time to do some of the things I couldn't do as a Witnesses. I personally find a great peace in looking at Gods green earth and capturing the a moment of time. It may be a sunset or a nature shot it matters not. I am also lucky enough to be able to get to see a Grand Prix every now and again. This is a truly exhilarating experience, to see a car go from zero to 180 MPH in a matter of seconds takes some beating, however to see a car go from 200 to 50 MPH also in a matter of seconds is even more exhilarating. I want to share some of the experiences with as many as possible. So please enjoy all that my site has to offer.
